In the Narrative of the Lifestyle of Frederick Douglass, an American slave, Douglass describes the dehumanization of both slaves and servant owners. Many slaves were dehumanized simply by getting beat, raped and killed. He has found many pudgy things like the incident with Denby's death and how he had to fight over waste of food. Douglass not merely describes the dehumanization from the slaves, this individual also covers how it also changed a lot of the slave owners that he had encountered.

The first time Douglass sees the dehumanization with the slave owners was if he met Mrs. Auld. The girl had hardly ever owned a slave before so your woman treated him with value and with kindness.
